 Post subject: 98 Dakota P0138 code

have a 1998 dakota 4x4 (3.9 5 speed) light came on and I scanned a P0138 code. I replaced both sensors and reset computer. Light came on again abouit 10 miles down road with the same code. I traced wire where I could looking for any signs of trouble

By both sensors do you mean all four? The code refers to bank 1 sensor 2 which is a post cat O2 sensor. There are likely 4 sensors on that vehicle.

I found it! Broken "Automatic Shut Down Relay Output" wire leading to downstream sensor (Pin # 1) Break was approx 1.5 ft. from sensor connector
