The P0130 code comes up on my 2002 1.2l vauxhall corsa. I can clear it but a few hundred miles later it comes back.
The ref guide tells me this is the 02 Sensor, Bank1 Sensor 1 but I have no idea what this means. What is the 02 sensor and where do I find it, and what is the relevance of the bank 1 sensor 1.
Vehicles either have 2 O2 sensors or 4 O2 sensors. You have to check which it is for you ( normally it is 2 ).
Bank # tells which side to check. ( helpful with 4 O2 sensors ).
Sensor # tells location of sensor ( ie: #1 is closer to engine, #2 is closer to catalytic converter ).
Best to use car repair manual to figure out where to find the O2 sensors on your vehicle & make sure you only have 2.
You can check electrical connection to O2 & check for any related fuses before replacing. ( repair shop could do this too ). Either bad wiring or O2 sensor.
Hi ive had a similar problem on a customers car p0130 changed o2 senser but kept coming back. O2 sensor checks out fine on live data ? Changed MAF on car and has been fine since driveability is up 100%. This was on a 1999/t vauxhall corsa B with the X12XE engine same as the one you posted. Oh and better to get a bosch MAF as cheap ones arent that great .
