I am working on a 1997 Ford F350 with codes p0136, p0141.
Could the cat be making these codes?
Thanks for the help.

Shouldn't be a cat:
P0136 02 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank I Sensor 2)
P0141 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 2)

Make sure the oxygen sensor is connected. Sounds like a broken wire somewhere, or perhaps the oxygen sensor went bad.
