2000 Ford F250 Super Duty - 5.4 L - EFI - 2WD

I had misfire codes that stopped once I replaced injectors/plugs/coils/O2 Sensor. The engine still runs poorly, seemingly a misfire. I went to buy an EGR valve and was told there was not one needed for that model. I do not see one on the engine. Is that right?

Also, my monitor reads as follows:
Monitrs
2 inc
o2 sensr
o2 htr
3 ready
misfire
fuel
comp

My book doesn't mention codes like this.

Compression test / Cat. Converter / ???

Any input?

Thanks

right now, no codes. The misfire codes (P0301, 0302, 0305) didn't come back after I did the component replacement. But what does does "Misfire", "fuel", and "comp" mean?

they're monitors that haven't completed yet! it needs a complete drive cycle with no faults in those systems before they'll come to ready status,
fuel would likely mean fuel trim, misfire obviously means the misfire monitor and comp maybe comprehensive? So if the truck is still running poorly then you need code #'s or scan tool data to determine why? Has the MAF been checked or cleanned? If it's got a K&N style filter on it then your MAf might be dirty!

I re-read the original post and I understand it to be the O2 sensr and O2 heater monitors are incomplete while the misfire, fuel and comp are ready.

It may be possible that the PCM needs time to relearn the new O2s.

maybe! I wonder if there's blown fuse for the 02 heaters?

I checked the MAF. It's spotless. I'm going to check the fuses in the morning. How long is a drive cycle. I've done over 600 miles since I did the injectors and the O2 sensor

All the fuses are intact, although none is distinctly called out as O2 heater.

I still do not see an EGR valve. I'm going to take the throttle components off the manifold tonight and see if I can find the EGR.

if you call the ford dealers parts dept with your vin # they should be able to tell you if there is one and where it is!

I'll go the dealer this morning. Also now I have a misfire code on cyl. 5 (p0305) That has a new coil pack / injector / plug.

There is no EGR on that model, per the Ford Parts dealer. Saves me $100 but I was hoping that would be an easy fix. I erased the 0305 code and will drive some more. I was thinking of a compression test or a catalytic converter.
