check for correct fuel pressure! check for a vaccum leak from the intake gasket area, check the snorkel for the MAF, check the MAF to be sure even that it's clean that the reading it's generating is accurate! Check the egr system

I checked for vacume leaks and could not find any, i also used starter fluid to spray on the intake runners and matting areas and had no change in idle. i used a fuel pressure guage and got a reading of 50psi steady at idle and when i depressed the release button on the gauge it held at 42 psi while running. I dont know where the snorkle is located but sprayed either on the air box at all connections and it didnt change idle.how do you check the egr?
thanks again
Joe

the give away here is your short and long term fuel trims, the fuel pressure sounds too low? Has the fuel pump ever been changed?

the 50 psi reading is taken from the fuel rail.what should the reading be ?
also is the maf sensor working properly from data list.the fuel pump is the factory one ,it doesnt hum or make any excessive noise.
thanks again
:D

fuel pressure should be 55-62 with the key on engine off and 45-59 at idle!
I've seen a few tsbs for your van that describe similar symptons that all point to replacing the MAF but low fuel pressure can generate those codes and fuel trims as well! Try running it with the MAF disconnectted and see what the fuel trims do!

Jeff,
I Installed a napa re-man mass sensor today and it took care of the rough idle!! However I cleared out all the codes and still after running it for a few hours i get codes back p0141 and p0147.
what else could be wrong?
Thanks again
Joe
